I joined deviantART some time probably around 2006 (under a previous account) where I could favorite all kinds of resources that I used primarily for website design projects or LiveJournal icon resources (those were the days). When I first joined, I hadn’t really the intention of sharing any of my art, but being able to ‘store’ the resources I was using and also showing the artists, appreciation with a thanks and a fav.
At some point on that account I did decide to start sharing art I had made. Such as website designs and early attempts at vector art. I didn’t feel very confident with my art, but I did find that there was a lot of support in the community from other people that were either at the same level as me or even thoughts with amazing skills, who would offer support in a number of ways.
In 2010 I decided to make a new account, with a new name and new aspirations of creating and sharing more art. Some early works of mine Some more recent works
Over those years I believe I have really developed in so many ways. I am continually inspired and thankful for so many artists and individuals on this site that make it a pleasure to return. Here are five works from artists I follow and why I like them.
From a pixel artist that I adore theviethick
creates amazing works and I have featured this because it shows their continual approach to improving their skills. Which is something I think most of us can relate too.
I have featured this work by Sarilain
as an example of the many wonderful pieces that she creates and shares. They all inspire me with the cuteness, colour, lines, shading and texture.
My favorite photographer oprisco
creates such amazingly imaginative images. They speak on so many different levels.
Because the imagination and joy in sharing of the community is not limited to art that is created with a brush, screen or lens.
Because our imaginations can see and believe in their own way and inspire to create new and different worlds.
I hope that your time in the community has also been a great one!
